ASAE Crisis Management Team
The Crisis Management Team is comprised of ASAE staff members representing critical functions.
The Crisis Management Team is responsible for reviewing and maintaining this Quick Tips Guide, monitoring threats, hazards, and serving as the response team onsite in the event of an actual crisis or emergency.
In the event of an emergency, please contact the Incident Commander who will reach out to all other members of the Crisis Management Team via mobile phone.
Should an emergency occur during Annual Meeting that requires all attendees/staff attention we will utilize aspects of the App for the following:
Alerts – The Crisis Management Team will decide what message should be communicated to Attendees. App push notifications will be used to send out pertinent information to attendees on the situation and safety protocols.
“CHECK IN” – A self-checking in feature will be deployed by the App team to all attendees within the app at the time of the emergency allowing attendees “check-in” or select “not in the area” alerting us of their safety/location onsite. Following this process, will reach out to any attendees who have not checked in to identify attendees who may need additional emergency services.
Pharmacies / Hospitals / Local Contacts – Information regarding local emergency services as well as safety procedures can be found for staff, volunteers, and attendees under the “MORE” tab on the lower toolbar and by clicking on the “BE SAFE” tab.
Staff Hotel Contact Responsibility
Hotel will reach out to you if there are any issues at the hotel. (i.e. fire alarm, attendee issue, incident report.)
Your staff role is to alert Lisette Garrity of any issue via call or text to her cell (703-881-2299). Having awareness of any issues before attendees is crucial and allows appropriate follow-up with specific attendees or communication to members as necessary.
You are also a resource for information to ASAE staff if there is an issue and to help follow up if immediate attention to a scenario is required.
